Privacy Policy

Effective Date: January 1, 2026

Neighbors for Strong Communities ("we," "us," or "our") respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect information when you visit our website or otherwise interact with us.

Information We Collect

We may collect information you provide directly, such as your name, email address, ZIP code, mobile phone number, and the content of messages you send us through our website forms, sign-ups, surveys, petitions, or advocacy actions. We may also collect limited technical information automatically, such as your device type, browser, and general usage information.

How We Use Information

We use the information you provide to respond to your inquiries, send communications you have requested, organize advocacy and civic engagement opportunities, support our operations, and improve our work. We do not use your information for purposes unrelated to our mission.

Text Messaging and SMS Consent

If you provide your mobile phone number and opt in to receive text messages, Neighbors for Strong Communities may use your number to send recurring text messages about advocacy updates, community issue alerts, public meeting and hearing notices, event reminders, petitions, surveys, opportunities to contact elected officials, regulators, agencies, or other decision-makers, and other civic engagement actions related to public decisions affecting local communities.

Message frequency varies. During active campaigns, urgent public decisions, public meetings, hearings, or other time-sensitive advocacy moments, subscribers may receive multiple messages per week. Message and data rates may apply.

You may opt out at any time by replying STOP to any text message. You may request help by replying HELP or contacting us at contact@neighborsforstrongcommunities.org or 714-721-0385.

Consent to receive text messages is not a condition of purchase.

No Sale or Sharing of SMS Consent Data

Neighbors for Strong Communities does not sell, rent, or share mobile phone numbers or SMS opt-in consent information with third parties for their own marketing or promotional purposes.

We may share information with service providers who help us operate our website, manage communications, send text messages, maintain consent records, process opt-outs, analyze outreach, or provide other services on our behalf. These service providers are permitted to use the information only to provide services to us and must protect the information appropriately.

Data Security

We take reasonable steps to protect the information we collect. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, however, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Children's Privacy

Our website is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Updates will be posted on this page with a new effective date.
